Nationwide Roofing Emergencies Covered with TectaResponse by Tecta America Corp.

Pre-planning Keeps Workforce of 3,000 Hurricane-Ready

Chicago, IL, June 27, 2006 — With U.S. storm forecasters predicting an above-average season for hurricane and other storm activity, Tecta America Corp., the nation's largest commercial roofing contractor, readies for another busy storm season with their recently announced TectaResponse division.

TectaResponse planning capabilities ensure customers get re-roofed and back to business as quickly as possible in the wake of any emergency. With a labor force over 3,000 strong, and more than 50 operating locations across the United States, Tecta America's skilled TectaResponse personnel are ready to respond -- even before disaster strikes.

“A quick response is critical to mitigating damage and limiting loss. But usually the local services can't provide the additional resources and manpower needed to meet such urgent demand,” said Tecta America CEO and President, Mark Santacrose.  “To meet those demands and provide for those customers, we've created TectaResponse.”

TectaResponse offers eligible Tecta customers a pre-storm agreement which provides authorization to do post-storm work. The TectaResponse unit has developed a database which tracks all the key information needed by facility owners and the contractor to ensure a streamlined post-storm response and ensure quick handling of roofing-related emergencies.

Even as Tropical Storm Alberto landed on the Florida coast kicking off 2006 hurricane season, TectaResponse teams prepared for whatever disaster might come their way.

”Planning ahead is critical,” said Mike Levine of Tecta's Murton Roofing division, which managed hundreds of roofing projects in the wake of last year's devastating hurricane season.  “If we have the facility information and key contacts, we can get to work immediately, and, in many cases, reduce further interior damage by getting a temporary roofing system in place.”

“Our financial strength, manufacturer relationships and availability of materials mean we have the resources to mobilize all the necessary supplies, equipment and manpower necessary. TectaResponse takes care of your roof, so you can focus on your business, and limit your loss,” Levine continued.
